Nikah Accompanied by Wrong Customs
Question
If at a wedding a ritual wedding bracelet is put on, a wedding canopy is erected, a bridal veil is put on, the sehra (wedding garland) is tied, a wedding ornament for the palm or a zorband (a ritual band tied at weddings) (?) is tied — in short, if all the actions are contrary to the Sacred Law, is the nikah valid or not?
Answer
The sin of the impermissible acts stands on its own, but the nikah is nevertheless valid.
