The Amount of the Mahr of Fatima

What is the amount of the mahr of Fatima in our time?

Answer

The mahrs of the azwaj mutahharat (the pure wives of the Prophet ﷺ) ﵅ were equal to twelve and a half uqiyas of silver — so it is in “al-Mishkat”. The mahr of Hazrat Fatima ﵂ was the same. One uqiya is forty dirhams. That makes five hundred dirhams, which amounts to approximately 132 tolas (a unit of weight, ≈ 11.66 g) of silver.
