Marriage of the Adulterer’s Son to the Daughter’s Daughter of the Woman with Whom Zina Was Committed

Question

Zayd committed zina with a Bengali woman. After the zina a marriage contract (‘aqd) was also concluded. Hinda has a daughter, ‘Abida, and ‘Abida has a daughter, Fatima. Can a marriage contract be concluded between Zayd’s son Bakr and Fatima or not? Please inform us of the Shari‘a ruling.

Answer

Because of this base act of Zayd, the marriage contract of his son Bakr with the daughter of Hinda’s daughter is not impermissible; rather, it is valid.
