Nikah with the Daughter of One’s Female Cousin

Question

(1) Is nikah with the daughter of one’s cousin — the daughter of one’s maternal aunt — permissible or not? (2) Is nikah with the daughter of one’s cousin — the daughter of one’s maternal uncle or of one’s paternal aunt — valid or not?

Answer

(1) Nikah with the daughter of one’s maternal aunt’s daughter is valid. (2) Nikah with the daughter of one’s paternal aunt’s daughter and of one’s maternal uncle’s daughter is also valid. The details of every woman with whom nikah is haram are set out in the Holy Qur’an at the end of the fourth juz’, and the three women mentioned here are not counted among them.
