The Words of Offer and Acceptance

Question

Is a nikah concluded with these words: someone said in the presence of witnesses, “I have contracted the nikah of my such-and-such daughter with you,” and the other said, “I have accepted”? Did the nikah take place or not?

Answer

With these words the nikah is validly concluded.
