The difference between burying far away and nearby

Question

Is there any kind of difference between burying [the deceased] near the graves of his relatives and burying him far away in some unfamiliar graveyard?

Answer

There is indeed a difference: the familiarity (uns) one has with relatives is not there with strangers without some reason.
