Sprinkling water on the grave and strewing flower petals after burial

Question

What is the ruling on levelling the grave of the deceased, then sprinkling water on it and strewing flowers and petals on it?

Answer

Sprinkling water is mustahabb, so that the earth of the grave settles firmly and does not scatter. Placing flowers is not established.
