May a non-mahram touch a woman’s janaza (bier)?

Answer

He may touch it: [ar]لِأَنَّ يَدَهُ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَى بَدَنِهَا فَلَا مَانِعَ بِأَخْذِ السَّرِيرِ[/ar] “Because his hand does not reach her body, there is no impediment to taking hold of the bier.”
