Fewer or more takbirs in the funeral prayer

Question

If in the funeral prayer the salam is given after only three takbirs, or after five takbirs, will the prayer be valid or not?

Answer

If the prayer is ended at three takbirs, it will be invalid (fasid); if it is ended at five, it will not be invalid (“Tahtawi”, p. 322).
