Buying and keeping, during one’s lifetime, the requisites for one’s own shrouding and burial

Question

Zayd wishes, from his own earnings and during his lifetime, to buy and keep all the requisites for shrouding and burial. Is such an action permissible? Please write with evidence.

Answer

It is correct. Keeping a shroud is also established from some of the noble Companions ﵃, as is in the narration of the Sihah (the authentic hadith collections).
