One Who Does Not Accept the Muhammadan Shari‘a

Question

A man keeps a full beard and performs the five daily prayers in congregation — and declares three times, “I do not accept the Muhammadan Shari‘a.” What is the ruling of the Sacred Law on him?

Answer

He observes the rulings of the Shari‘a, performs the five prayers and the Friday prayer — so what does it mean that he does not accept the Muhammadan Shari‘a? This sentence is very grave and contrary to iman; but until some details are known, what ruling is to be passed on him?
