Abusing Those Who Pray
Question
Someone says, “Those who pray a lot — I would do such-and-such [obscenity] to their mothers; all of them, the rascals, are dishonest.” What is the status of this sentence, and does any harm come to iman or not?
Answer
His intent is apparently this: every Muslim should shun dishonesty, and those who pray have a greater connection with God and His religion, which requires that they be all the more careful — yet, alas, that is not the case; those who pray also act dishonestly.
