Using a Contemptuous Word for the Prayer
Question
Bakr asked Khalid, “Why do you not go to the mosque and pray?” Khalid replied, “I am ‘sick of’ prayer (I’m fed up with it).” This word is one of contempt.
Answer
Contempt for the prayer is extremely dangerous; it must be entirely avoided. As for the word written in the question — “I am ‘sick of’ prayer” — write its meaning clearly: what is intended?
