Speaking Ill of a Recognised Scholar

Question

What of cursing and reproaching a recognised scholar and bearing hatred towards him?

Answer

Until the reason for the hatred is set out with proof, what can be said about it? If there is no Shar‘i reason for hatred, bearing hatred is forbidden; if there is a Shar‘i reason, bearing hatred is obligatory.
