A Good End to Life

Question

If a person repented of his sins before death and recited the kalimah, and after that no sinful act occurred on his part, and then he died — was his end a good one or not? And will that recitation of the kalimah be reckoned as the last one, or must the kalimah be recited again?

Answer

This too, if Allah the Exalted wills, is a good end. And if after that kalimah he spoke of something else, then let him recite the kalimah again. In short, if at the time of departing from the world one’s last word is the kalimah, that is a matter of great excellence and great felicity.
