The Purpose of Education

Question

For what purpose is a child taught, and for what purpose was the Noble Qur’an revealed?

Answer

He is taught so that he may understand truth from falsehood and know what his responsibility is in this world — fulfilling which will bring him comfort in the Hereafter, and failing to fulfil which will bring severe suffering. For this purpose the Noble Qur’an holds a foundational status.
