The Remedy for a Low Salary

Question

The mutawalli (trustee of the waqf) knows full well that he cannot recite the Qur’an according to the rules, yet because of the low salary he has the children taught by him; and the religious scholar himself cannot correct himself, because on account of his advanced age he is embarrassed to be corrected. In such a situation, what is the way to correct the children?

Answer

(2, 3) If the mutawalli has no means of providing a higher salary, then the people of the neighbourhood should themselves make an effort and arrange a higher salary, so that this situation itself comes to an end.
