Pictures in a house (on the roof tiles)

Question

Question: Keeping pictures in houses is haram; however, on the tiles laid on the roof the company has imprinted the picture of some animal and the like. What is the ruling on living in such a house? (It is also possible that it is the company’s trademark.)

Answer

It is stated in the noble hadith: [ar]قال: إن البيت الذي فيه الصورة لا تدخله الملائكة[/ar] “The house in which there is an image (of an animate being) — the angels do not enter it” (agreed upon; “Mishkat”, p. 385). The Prophet ﷺ too did not consent to enter; rather, despite having intended to enter, he went away because of the image.
