Seeing in a dream the place of one’s death

Question

Question: I saw in a dream that a religious man was saying to me, “Your death will be in October in Deoband.” Please tell me the interpretation of this: will I have to go there?

Answer

What obligation does this dream place on you? Wherever death is decreed, your destiny (taqdir) will surely bring you there; therefore you are not obliged by the Shari‘a to go there. The month, indeed, was given as October, but it was not said whether it is this year or when.
