A greeting sent by a kafir

Question

If a kafir says to me, “Say ‘namaste’ (a Hindu greeting) to ‘Umar for me,” or “Say ‘Jai Ram ji’ (a Hindu greeting: ‘glory to Rama’) to him,” what should I say?

Answer

You should say “salam”.
