Embracing little girls

Question: At times one has to embrace one’s relatives, and among them there are also little girls. What is the ruling on such embracing?

Answer

Embracing one’s son, daughter, sister and the like — those with whom embracing involves no desire — is permissible; and where there is a danger of that, one should abstain.
