Which is better: keeping the hair or shaving the head

Question: Which is better — keeping hair on the head or shaving it? Is it established from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he shaved his hair outside of Hajj as well, or not?

Answer

The usual blessed practice was to keep the hair; shaving is established only very rarely. Some of the Companions always shaved their heads.
