A false medical certificate
Question
Question: I am three hundred miles away from my home town and have not been home for four months; I want to go home for two to four days. The difficulty now is that my leave has run out — 12 days are given in a year, and only 7 days of leave remain. To use it, one has either to give a month’s notice in advance or to submit a doctor’s certificate of illness, which is usually a false certificate obtained by paying a bribe.
Answer
(1) A person always has some illness or other. If a certificate of illness is obtained at a time of need, this is not a lie; there is latitude for it. (2) As long as it is not known what was recited over the water and what is written in the amulet, how can a ruling on it be written?
