Drinking Zamzam Water Heated

Question

What is the ruling on drinking Zamzam water after heating it in the cold season? Is it permissible to heat the blessed Zamzam water or not?

Answer

[ar]مَاءُ زَمْزَمَ لِمَا شُرِبَ لَهُ[/ar] “Zamzam water is for whatever it is drunk for” (hadith). Zamzam water does no harm even when cold; rather, whatever purpose it is drunk for, Allah Most High fulfils that purpose. Nevertheless, heating it is not prohibited either.
