Dealing with the Raza-Khanis (Followers of Ahmad Raza Khan, i.e. Barelvis)

Question

Here those who call themselves Sunnis go to the shrines of spiritual guides and perform puja (Hindu ritual worship) there, and they revile the ulama of truth: they revile Mawlana Qasim [Nanotawi] ﵀, Mawlana Madani ﵀, Mawlana Thanawi ﵀ — and they declare “Bihishti Zewar” (“Heavenly Ornaments”) to be wrong. If on such an occasion someone is seized by an extraordinary passion and kills the one committing such indecency and insult, and himself also dies at his hand, or is hanged — will this be martyrdom (shahada)

Answer

To kill, and to mount the gallows as punishment, is not the real remedy. [The remedy is] to show them the right path through good management: to arrange their meeting with the elders, to tell them the true circumstances of these [elders], to show them their religious services, and also to supplicate Allah Most High, for He is the Turner of hearts (Muqallib al-Qulub).
