Objections of the Barelvi School Against the Elders of Deoband and the Tablighi Jamaat, and Their Answers

Question

Respected Hazrat Rector, may his blessings endure! The request is this: some objections against the Tablighi Jamaat and the elders of Deoband, together with questions in this connection, have come from Bareilly; their translation into Arabic is presented to you. Kindly arrange for their answers to be written from Dar al-‘Ulum Deoband through Mawlana Irshad Ahmad. It is as follows: (The questioner continues in Arabic.) (1)

Answer

The questionnaire sent contains passages of both kinds, Arabic and Urdu, presented as objections for reply, from which it appears that the objector has command of both languages and understands both. Moreover, the books objected to are in Urdu. It therefore seemed appropriate that the replies be written in Urdu.
