Do the Ulama of Deoband Hold That the Thought of the Prophet ﷺ in Prayer Entails Shirk?

Question

What do the ulama of the religion and the muftis of the firm Sacred Law say about the following matter? The respected Qadir said to the writer of these lines (Abdul Ghafur, mechanic): “I have read in a book of a Deobandi that if the thought of the Master of Both Worlds ﷺ comes in prayer, the prayer will not be valid, whereas if the thought of a donkey comes, the prayer will be valid.” In reply the writer of these lines said that this is a matter for a scholar (‘alim)

Answer

For more than a century, under an organized and premeditated scheme to defame the ulama of Deoband and to turn the common people away from them, baseless and false statements have been attributed to them, and their expressions have been twisted and distorted so as to present their wrong and repugnant meanings to the public — though these have been clarified time and again.
