A Saying of A‘la Hazrat Barelvi: Is Ahmad Raza Khan a Muslim?
Question
Mawlana Ahmad Raza Khan, in his book “al-Malfuz”, part three, p. 300, wrote these words: “The pure wives are presented to the prophets ﵈ in their graves, and they spend the night with them.” Is this statement an insolence against the dignity of the Prophet ﷺ? What is the ruling of the Sacred Law concerning one who writes such a thing and one who says such a thing? Are these words written in ‘Allama al-Zurqani’s commentary on “al-Mawahib al-Laduniyya”, volume six, p. 169?
Answer
[ar]بِاسْمِهِ سُبْحَانَهُ تَعَالَىٰ[/ar] In the “Malfuz” of A‘la Hazrat Ahmad Raza Khan of Bareilly these words are indeed present in this form. In “al-Mawahib al-Laduniyya” the word is “يبيت” (“he spends the night”); Ahmad Raza Khan wrote the word “night-stay” (شب باشی)
