The Ruling on the Title “A‘la Hazrat”
Question
Ahmad Raza Khan is both a mujaddid (renewer [of the faith]) and bears the title “A‘la Hazrat” (the Most Exalted Hazrat). Yet in no book have I seen, for any prophet, any form of address other than “Hazrat” — I have not seen the address “A‘la Hazrat”, a title that would surpass “Hazrat”. What is the ruling on this?
Answer
No human being’s praise exceeds that of the Noble Prophet ﷺ: his rank has been attained neither by any angel nor by any prophet, nor can anyone attain it.
