Spending Orphans’ Entrusted Property on Their Weddings After They Reach Maturity
Question
Arranging the marriage of orphaned grandsons and granddaughters, or nephews and nieces, is also the responsibility of the grandfather or the paternal uncle (the father’s elder or younger brother). After they reached maturity, the grandfather or the paternal uncle spent the property of these very orphans on the weddings of his orphaned granddaughters or nephews, and later, when (the property) was demanded, he cited this expense, while at the time of this expense he had not taken the permission of these orphans.
Answer
Once they have reached maturity, neither the grandfather nor the paternal uncle should spend their property on the wedding and the like without their permission.
