Selling Fruit Before It Has Appeared

Question

Is it impermissible to take the contract on trees on which fruit has not appeared before the purchase, or should the contract be taken when the fruit appears? Is eating such fruit halal or haram?

Answer

When the fruit has not appeared, buying the fruit is impermissible. However, if one takes the land on contract (lease) and the fruit appears after that, then that fruit too is proper.
