A Special Fatiha at the House after the Burial
Question
After the burial of the deceased, relatives and others come to the house of the deceased, stand with folded hands and recite the fatiha over food, compel others too to fold their hands, and revile whoever does not take part — what is the ruling on this?
Answer
It is entirely baseless and contrary to the sunna; it is necessary to abandon it. Reviling one who does not take part in it is a sin.
