Reciting Salam after the Prayer

Question

In the mosque some people recite salam after the Fajr prayer, speak ill of tabligh and call us Wahhabis. So, may salam be recited after the Fajr prayer or not?

Answer

In Madina the Radiant, when present before the Blessed Rawda, salat-o-salam is to be recited thus: [ar]الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ[/ar] “Blessings and peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah!
