Is One Who Dies Having Recited the Kalima Punished for His Evil Deeds?

Question

A person whose end was upon iman — that is, he died having recited the kalima — will he receive punishment for his evil deeds? Or will he enter Paradise without punishment and without any reckoning?

Answer

He too deserves punishment for his evil deeds; but if Allah the Exalted shows grace, He will admit him into Paradise without reckoning.
