The Place of the Soul After Death

Question

I asked the respected religious scholar who is in the town of Baraut in what state and in what place the soul remains until the Day of Resurrection. He said: “Find that out from the madrasa of Deoband.” For this reason a detailed explanation of this matter is requested from you.

Answer

After death the soul, having separated from the body, goes to the barzakh and will remain there until the Day of Resurrection. One side of the barzakh faces this world: as soon as a person dies, the soul arrives there, whereas during life it cannot go there; the other side faces the Hereafter: on the Day of Resurrection the soul will pass from there into the Hereafter.
