A vow to have a mosque minaret built
Question
Question: A person made a vow: “If such-and-such a matter of mine is accomplished, I will have the minarets of the mosque built.” The matter was accomplished, but it so happened that, because of riots, that village was ruined and the mosque became deserted. How should he now fulfil this vow — or should he have a mosque built in another village?
Answer
As much money as would have been spent on building the minaret, let them spend that much on the construction of some mosque.
