الْحَلَالُ بَيِّنٌ وَالْحَرَامُ بَيِّنٌ، وَبَيْنَهُمَا مُشَبَّهَاتٌ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا كَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَمَنِ اتَّقَى الْمُشَبَّهَاتِ اسْتَبْرَأَ لِدِينِهِ وَعِرْضِهِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters that many people do not know. Whoever guards against the doubtful matters protects his religion and his honor.”

E345 Magnesium citrate — is it halal?

Description

Magnesium citrate E345 — in the EU only E 345(i), anhydrous trimagnesium dicitrate (TMDC), a stabiliser and anti-caking agent of solid food supplements (Reg. 2024/346). It is made by neutralising citric acid (host E330, c1; Sucroal cane sugar — c49) with magnesium oxide, hydroxide or carbonate (c2–c5; host E504 — c4). Magnesium feedstock — seawater and brines, ores, metal, sulphate (c6–c11); reagents — c12–c22.
