الْحَلَالُ بَيِّنٌ وَالْحَرَامُ بَيِّنٌ، وَبَيْنَهُمَا مُشَبَّهَاتٌ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا كَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَمَنِ اتَّقَى الْمُشَبَّهَاتِ اسْتَبْرَأَ لِدِينِهِ وَعِرْضِهِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters that many people do not know. Whoever guards against the doubtful matters protects his religion and his honor.”

Description

A synthetic polymer of N-vinylpyrrolidone: a thickener, stabiliser, carrier and tablet binder; a clarifying agent for beer, wine and vinegar (USA). The monomer is petrochemical (acetylene, formaldehyde, ammonia); a bio-route to its precursors exists but is not confirmed for PVP. The main route is polymerisation in water (hydrogen peroxide, ammonia, copper).
