A will concerning a madrasa
Question
What is the ruling regarding the written will below? “Habibullah, after my death tell all the worshippers in the Congregational Mosque a few things, because my health is not going well. (1) What I have written concerning the madrasa and the mosque should be acted upon. Read it out to the people. (2) All the people together should form a management council; there should be people from every side in it. If the council does not work properly, it can also be changed, and another management council can be formed. (3)
Answer
All these points are correct and beneficial according to the Shari‘a. In the post office there is also a form in which there is no dealing in interest. Deposit in that form, and for sums that must be transferred into ownership (wajib al-tamlik), make proper arrangements to deliver them to those entitled to them.
