Lodging Travellers on the Mosque Roof for a Fee to Raise Income

Question

If the aforementioned mosque has no income sufficient for the mosque’s expenses, is it permissible in such a case to build rooms for travellers on the upper roof and to collect rent from these travellers in order to increase income, or not?

Answer

This too is not permitted.
