Building a Mosque Dome Like the Dome over the Prophet’s ﷺ Tomb

Question

Is it permissible or not to build a dome in a mosque after the design of the dome of the Sacred Tomb?

If a dome in the shape of the blessed tomb of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is built for the sake of deception (talbis) and fraud — so that people take this mosque to be the Prophet’s Mosque (al-Masjid al-Nabawi) and hold the same reverence for it — then it is impermissible, just as some people of falsehood did exactly this: they named their mosque “al-Masjid al-Nabawi”, named…
