The boundary of the mosque
Question
Up to what point can the boundary of the mosque be reckoned?
Answer
The mosque is the place that has been designated for prayer; entering it without ghusl is prohibited. The place of ablution (wudu’) is usually outside the mosque. As soon as one sets foot on the floor of the mosque, it is fitting to make the intention of i‘tikaf.
