Details About Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhab al-Najdi

Question

Question: We cannot understand how it is that the elders said something, while now the newcomers write research against them; it is not clear why one considers oneself more capable than them and regards the research of the predecessors as mistaken. Why is the aim self-aggrandizement and displaying one’s own excellence and scholarship, even if it means insulting the predecessors and misleading the questioner — no thought is given to that.

The respected Hazrat Mawlana Rashid Ahmad Gangohi ﵀ was, in his time, a very great muhaddith, faqih, exegete (mufassir), and an ‘arif who followed the Sunna — a great elder.
