Did Abu Talib Accept Islam?

Question

The Shia claim that Abu Talib came to believe. If you would kindly take the trouble to write something about this, it would be a kindness.

Answer

In his final moments, Abu Talib was offered the word of faith (kalima) — he did not accept it, which caused [the Messenger of Allah ﷺ] great grief. This is recorded in the sound (sahih) collections, among them “Sahih al-Bukhari” and others.
