Maintenance of frail parents

Question: I humbly submit that we were five brothers, and our father and mother are also alive. I am the eldest brother, and all were younger than me. We all used to live together, and among all the brothers only I was able to earn, because the other brothers were young in age, and all of them were taught a trade. Now one brother has passed away; at present four brothers are living and three sisters. One brother, who is younger than me and older than two, was taught tailoring.

Answer (1) If he did not steal this money from anyone but earned it himself, then it is not stolen property; therefore it is permissible for the one with whom this money has been deposited to keep it.
