Referring a husband and wife’s dispute to the biradari

Question

Question: A girl had for some time been displeased, over some matter, with living with her husband. The girl’s parents handed the matter over to the biradari (the kinship community) for decision and gave a written undertaking. The biradari told the young man’s father too: “You also hand the young man’s matter over to the biradari and give a written undertaking that the biradari may settle it as it sees fit in accordance with the Shari‘a.

Answer

If the girl is adult (baligha) and, with her consent, the biradari has been given authority to resolve her matter with her husband on the basis that whatever it settles in accordance with the Shari‘a will be accepted, then there is no harm in this according to the Shari‘a.
