Question

Question: Zayd left his wife, named Hind, at his home and went to the province of Punjab in search of employment, and the said Zayd also found a job at a place called Kalka, of which Hind, her parents and brothers were informed — that Zayd had been employed at such-and-such a place. After he had been employed, Zayd’s wife Hind, without any notice to or permission from Zayd, went to her parents’ house and is living there with her parents to this day.

Answer

If Zayd acknowledges this document, then in the situation asked about three talaqs will take effect on Zayd’s wife, provided that the wife pays five hundred rupees as the consideration for the talaq (badal al-talaq).
