The Water Filling a Pit Becomes Impure When Impurity Falls into It

Question

If someone, after relieving himself in a deserted field, without performing istinja' with clods of earth, enters a pit that is certainly not ten by ten cubits and takes water, will that water remain pure after this act or become impure? And how much impurity falling into a pit smaller than the measure of ten by ten cubits makes the water impure? Please explain the amount that makes the water of this pit impure for all these kinds of impurity: heavy (ghaliza) and light (khafifa), and likewise visible (mar'iyya)

Answer

A pit that is small (smaller than ten by ten cubits) becomes impure through every kind of impurity, however much impurity falls into it.
