Definition of the Ma'dhur (Excused Person) and His Ruling
Question
The matter is that I, an insignificant person, suffer from an illness: I have an illness of wind. I perform wudu, but again and again wind passes from the back passage: at times after five minutes, or after ten minutes, or after fifteen minutes the wind keeps passing, and many times not even a minute goes by before wind passes. Because of this I have great difficulty in prayer. Kindly show me some way: what is the ruling of the Shari'a on this?
Answer
Assess [your condition] once in this way: for example, the time of maghrib is about an hour and a half. If during this whole time you do not find even enough time to make wudu and perform the maghrib prayer with that wudu, but rather wind keeps passing, then you are a ma'dhur.
