The ruling on prayer on a paved floor that has become impure
Question
Is it permissible to make a paved floor in the Eidgah (the Eid prayer ground) or not? This while in the courtyard of the Eidgah there is a tree that covers the whole courtyard, and all year round animals keep dropping droppings. When the floor is made, what will be the method of purifying it? Does baked brick absorb liquid impurity or not? Is the reward for the paved floor of a mosque the same as the reward for the floor of the Eidgah, or not?
Answer
Making a paved floor is also permissible. Let it be done according to the opinion of the mutawalli (trustee) and the worshippers. The floor does not become impure because of the droppings of birds whose meat is halal. When a liquid impurity falls on a paved floor and dries, and no trace of the impurity remains, that floor will become pure for prayer.
